In Djerba, Be recognized as one of the elite dive educators. The PADI Master Instructor embodies the essence of a true dive professional having demonstrated a thorough understanding of the PADI Diver Training System and putting it into practice by training a minimum of 150 PADI divers. They are the leaders of the diving industry and help develop the development of future diving courses.

Preconditions
  • Being IDC Staff Instructor PADI renewed, in active status
  • Be PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor for at least two years
  • Be Emergency First Response Instructor renewed
  • Have certified at least 150 PADI divers, including:At least 50 PADI Adventure Diver certifications or higher level
    At least 15 certifications of PADI Specialties
    At least 5 PADI Rescue Diver
    At least 5 PADI Divemaster
    At least 5 PADI Assistant Instructor
  • Of the 150 certifications requested, no more than 75 may come from credits earned for conducting the Discover Scuba Diving dive programs.
  • Of the 150 certifications requested, no more than 50 can come from points earned for being part of the teaching staff of IDC
  • Of the 150 certifications requested, no more than 25 can come from points obtained for the conduct of programs without dives (such as Diving Equipment Specialty, Project AWARE Specialty, etc.).
  • Of the 150 certifications requested, no more than 10 must be PADI Seal Team or Master Seal Team certifications
  • Have trained at least 10 students in the Emergency First Response program
  • Have a perfect understanding of the PADI Diversity Training System
  • Have attended at least three PADI Instructor Training Seminars
  • Use the complete diving instruction system, including all appropriate PADI teaching materials when conducting PADI programs
  • Award PADI cards as a priority, and conduct all PADI certification courses and dive programs in accordance with PADI standards and philosophy, as described in the PADI Instructor Manual
  • Have not had any standard violations confirmed by quality assurance in the last 6 months and no ongoing quality assurance survey. (A member on probation status can not be qualified as a Master Instructor until probation status is lifted)
  • Show their support to the PADI organization through their efforts to create programs for the education and protection of the aquatic world
