Having scuba tanks mounted on your back is not a prerequisite for exploring the underwater world. Many divers have discovered the pleasure of mounting the scuba tanks on the side. Lateral configuration diving gives you versatility options. Plus, you don’t have to walk with heavy tanks on your back – just get in the water, attach the tanks to your equipment and start diving. You will learn:
The organization of your air management with a lateral fastening system
Considerations on equipment with Sidemount configuration
Swimming techniques
The different buoyancy and dive management exercises in Sidemount
If you are a PADI Open Water Diver certified and at least 15 years old, you can register for the PADI Sidemount Diver course.
